The single anticipates the release on October 12th of the album “K” produced by Ponderosa Music Records and Ipe Ipe Music. The song, in Italian and English, has an international flavour and a transversal musical approach in which traditional sounds are mixed with rock and indie sounds. A powerful and poetic single, a love song that fully represents the atmosphere of the last album of Kalàscima, constantly looking for a “new music” in a musical ground made of ancient and modern features.
The videoclip, produced by Undervilla Productions under the direction of Davide “Gatto” Polato, starts from the text that reads “you are the center of my world and I am surrounded by you” to tell a love story made of dream and travel. The protagonist is a girl who sews a superhero dress with paper wings, but the dress lacks something to be perfect. When returning from work, her father brings her a hat and aviator glasses that give the dress superhero powers.
Your Beat will de performed live for the fist time next 29th September in Roma (Teatro Palladium 8:00PM) during the concert for Puglia Showcase 2018, an event about Theatre, Dance and Music from Apulia region organized for national and international arts operators.
The album “K” – produced by Alberto Fabris, mixed and mastered by Tim Oliver at Real World Studios – is the third album of the apulian band and comes four years after Psychedelic Trance Tarantella which imposed the band on the international scene. Composed of 10 unpublished tracks written in the breaks of the tour that touched Spain, Portugal, Belgium, France, Austria, Estonia, Germany, Slovakia, Denmark, USA and Canada, the album will be released on October 12th in all digital and physical stores and will be presented live in Italy and abroad. “K” is produced by Ponderosa Music & Art and Ipe Ipe Music with the support of MiBACT (Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities) and SIAE, as part of the initiative “Sillumina” – Copia privata per i giovani, per la cultura e PUGLIA SOUNDS RECORD 2018 – Apulia Region – FSC 2014/2020 – Patto per la Puglia (Pact for Apulia).
Kalàscima is an apulian band of world music that in recent years has performed in numerous concerts and tours around the world on prestigious stages including: Tallin Music Week (Estonia, 2018), Mundial Montreal (Canada, 2017), Colours of Ostrava (Czech Republic, 2016), Roskilde Festival (Denmark, 2016), Fira Mediterrània de Manresa (Spain, 2016), Babel Med (France 2016), South by South West of Austin (USA, 2016) and Sziget Sound Festival (Hungary, 2012).
